3-to-4 Corners Trail

This trail runs across the southern border of Utah from the 3-corners of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah to the 4-corners of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

The Navajo Nation does not permit OHVs (even street-legal SXS) on its land. Due to this, we stopped the trail in Bluff, Utah, as it is paved from Bluff to the four corners.

Another item to note: the trail passes through Capitol Reef National Park. SXS, even street-licensed, are prohibited from traveling in Utah national parks. To complete this trail in a SXS, you will need to trailer a few miles on the Burr Trail through Capitol Reef NP. We’re working on a re-route that skips Capitol Reef NP… stay tuned 🙂

Trail Details

  • Trail Length: 575 miles
  • Terrain: Gravel roads, dirt roads, sandy trails, rocky trails, and asphalt
  • Ideal For: SXS, High-Clearance 4×4 vehicles

Sample Trip

This is somewhat of a brutal trail. There are fast sections and slow sections (primarily sand!). The team at East of Nowhere Adventures completed this route over three days, overnighting in Cannonville and Ticaboo.

Connections

This trail intersects the Dixie Trail and the Highway to Rocks Trail. This could be used as part of an adventure that circles the entire state: ride this west -> Highway to Rocks north -> Book of Tavaputs north -> Around the Uintas -> Around the Great Salt Lake to Wendover -> West Desert Rats trail south back to St. George.
